In April 2000 the year of the Millennium Gr.Ill Bro. James Adams had a vision of forming a Sister Chapter for Atlanta Pride Lodge #483. With his mission Pride of Atlanta #482 was formed in April under the leadership of Sis. Yula Carter. When the Chapter was formed it consist 14 plus members on the roll with the thought of continuous growth. Pride of Atlanta #482 received its Warranted Charter in October of 2000. Later, as time progressed Sis. Cheryl Lewis-Jones was appointed Worthy Matron for the 2002 year. She served as Matron for two years. Under her leadership the Chapter obtained several certificates for appreciation for their works and won a trophy for second place in the Modern Free Weekend Banner Contest. After serving two years she retired her leadership.Sis. Shereka Clark was elected Worthy Matron for the 2005 year. During the 2005 year Pride of Atlanta #482 has been recognized in several states, counties and other parts of the metro area. They have received certificates of appreciation from Dekalb County for their contributions that they have made in the community. The history of Pride of Atlanta #482 is growing tremendously in membership, unity, love and sisterhood. We put God first in our works so he can guide us along the way. We have learned that traveling these roads we must walk by faith and not by sight. The goals and dreams of Pride of Atlanta #482 are to move forward in a direction where we continue to strive for success and help others in the community. Our vision of a new era is our commitment to our work. We will continue to seek the knowledge of our beautiful order and walk in the light of the Lord because step by step we will make this journey.

Don't look down on a sister unless you are picking her up.  In the light of our works you are never alone.
